my father`s day m24/47 will be released on tuesday. then the celebration will really begin with a good cosmo removal and stock care. the final celebration will commence on wed. with sight adj. and steel target attack at angeles.
hey it was a good excuse too add another mauser too the family
i`m off too angeles too sight in my m24/47. will report later. this mauser has the smoothest bolt of any of my mauser`s. damn accurate, hit at 400 yrd on orange steel target were pretty consistent. at 300 just plain easy! one problem encountered was that the nose cap was not being retained by retaining leaf. looks like the hole on nose cap is not big enough too allow tip of retaining leaf too seat deep enough. overall i`m pretty happy. the balance of this mauser is great, nice trigger pull, quick cycling of bolt. m24/47 makes the k98 feel like a log!
